Bruins Need to Bear Down Against Capitals So Boston Isn't Left Seeing Stars This Postseason
The Bruins enter their playoff series with the Capitals as the heavy favorites, as they've proven throughout the regular season that they're a superior team.

However, that notion must not stop the B's from buckling down in the upcoming clash. The Capitals still have plenty of talent, and you can be they'll be hungry to dethrone the defending Stanley Cup champions.

Washington, which enters this postseason as the No. 7 seed, actually entered the playoffs as the No. 1 seed last year. The team's drop-off is due in large part to sloppy defense and inconsistent goaltending, and superstar Alex Ovechkin hasn't quite been himself.

The slate has been wiped clean, however. So while the B's should emerge victorious in the upcoming showdown, they can't afford to take a victory for granted.
