Cam Neely Says He May Have a Role in ‘Dumb and Dumber 2,’ But Script Must Be Up to His Standards

Fans of the Farrelly Brothers got real good news this week when it was announced that Dumb and Dumber 2, the real sequel to the 1994 comedy Dumb and Dumber.

Fans of the Farrelly Brothers who are also Boston sports fans will fondly remember that movie for one very special cameo role from Bruins legend Cam Neely.

Playing the role of a trucker named “Seabass,” Neely famously spit into the burger of Jeff Daniels‘ character’s burger. The role also gave movie fans and Bruins fans the unforgettable line, “Kick his ass, Seabass!” which has undoubtedly followed Neely since.

Now, with a sequel set to be made, Neely may be making his way back to the big screen. He confirmed as much on a radio appearance on WAAF’s Hill-Man Morning Show earlier this week.

“They have mentioned something,” Neely said. “Certainly it all depends on the schedule and the script. I have to approve the script.”

Neely also joked about the potential for development in his character since the first movie, joking that maybe he’d own the truck stop this time around.
