Canadiens, Maple Leafs Becoming Subjects of Ridicule After Missing Out on Stanley Cup Playoffs
The Bruins suffered a devastating loss at the hands of the Capitals in Game 2 on Saturday, which evened their playoff series up at one game apiece.

And while there isn't a whole lot that can make the double overtime loss sting any less for B's fans, there is one things that remains pretty sweet regardless of how this postseason turns out for the Black and Gold. Boston is already a step ahead of the game just by making the playoffs, something that can't be said for a couple of hated division rivals north of the border.

The Toronto Maple Leafs and Montreal Canadiens finished fourth and fifth, respectively, in the Northeast Division, missing out on the Big Dance and becoming the subjects of much ridicule in the wake of their failures.

Sure, it would only be a small consolation for Bostonians if the Bruins are unable to make a deep playoff run — as many expect they will — but it's still pretty awesome, nonetheless.
