Doc Rivers Impressed by Celtics’ Character, Ability to Keep ‘Hanging In There’

BOSTON — One constant among the teams Doc Rivers has coached is that they have almost always played hard.

Few teams have played harder than this one, Rivers said after Wednesday’s 88-86 overtime win over the Atlanta Hawks. Rivers marveled at his team’s character in continually battling back despite not playing its best.
