A lot of people love baseball. Some take that love to another level.
The latter can be said for Pasco, Wash., native, Mike McWain, a baseball enthusiast who decided to use his body as a way to display his love for the game.
McWain had a field of dreams tattooed across his back, shoulders and arms, according to the Tri-City Herald. The ink, which features a number of baseball legends and other baseball-themed symbols, reportedly required more than 180 hours in a tattoo chair and cost about $10,000.
Among the legends featured in the 39-year-old's tattoo are "Shoeless" Joe Jackson, Honus Wagner, Babe Ruth, Joe DiMaggio, Ted Williams, Lou Gehrig, Walter Johnson and Ty Cobb. He even has historic Yankee Stadium across his lower back, although he admitted to hating the Yankees.
In addition, McWain reportedly had images of his son and daughter tattooed onto him because he wants them to be surrounded by the game.
McWain reportedly got his first baseball tattoo in 1997, and although he knew what he eventually wanted to accomplish, it took 11 years to complete the project for various reasons. Now that it's complete, McWain said that his wife, Marcy, loves the ink, although maybe not 100 percent of the time.
"Sometimes when we're in bed I roll over on my side with my back to her with Ty Cobb's portrait staring right at her, and I think it kind of creeps her out," McWain told the Tri-City Herald.
