The Washington Capitals boast a few of the best offensive stars in the NHL. Luckily, the Bruins can counter the Caps' offensive firepower with some of the league's best defensive stars in its arsenal.

While fans and experts focus on the matchup between perennial MVP Alex Ovechkin and annual Norris Trophy finalist Zdeno Chara, the true test will lie within the second lines for both squads.

The defensive pairing of Johnny Boychuk and Andrew Ference came up huge for the Bruins during last season's playoff run. This time around, the pair will need to be just as sharp in order to contain Washington's Alexander Semin and Nicklas Backstrom.
