Jon Lester Becoming This Season’s ‘Hard Luck Hurler’ After Second Gem Without Run Support (Video)

Is Ricky Romero really that good?

The Blue Jays starter set down 17 Red Sox batters in order at one point during Wednesday's 3-1 Toronto win, as another Jon Lester gem went for naught. The Red Sox ace picks up a his first loss of the year despite a complete game effort, going eight innings and only allowing three hits to the pesky Jays.

NESN Nation's Dan Duquette has seen this play out before and hopefully Lester isn't going to be "that guy" that always struggles to find run support this season. He deserves better than that, right?

So we're giving him our "Hard Luck Hurler" award after this one. Who's your player of the game? Vote in the poll below and leave your thoughts on the game in the comments.

Who is your "Hard Luck Hurler" player of the game?
