Lars Anderson Makes Debut in Left Field for Red Sox Against Perfect Game Winner Phillip HumberThe Red Sox take the field in Chicago on Thursday night with a boost in confidence after taking a series sweep in Minnesota. But that confidence will be severely tested in Chicago, as Boston batters will be tasked with facing perfection.

Phillip Humber toes the rubber for the White Sox on Thursday, less than a week after the 29-year-old pitched the year’s first perfect game in Seattle.

The Boston lineup will look a bit different when they take the field, though. Former first baseman and Triple-A callup Lars Anderson will get the start in left field and bat eighth for the Red Sox, as Cody Ross rests a sore knee suffered in Wednesday night’s 7-6 win.

Mike Aviles will leadoff for the fifth-straight game, and the shortstop has been productive out of the No. 1 slot with two home runs and seven RBIs over the stretch. Marlon Byrd patrols center field yet again, getting the starting nod for the fourth time since coming over to the Red Sox in a trade on Sunday.
