Monday night’s riots in Lexington, Ky. were for much more celebratory reasons than the Vancouver riots last June. The damage, however, was still no joke.

Following Kentucky’s men’s basketball national championship victory Monday night, fans took to the streets and violently rioted. Dozens of fires were set, cars were overturned and one person was injured in a shooting.

Meanwhile, #LexingtonPoliceScanner began trending worldwide on Twitter, as users tuned in to the department’s radio to get a live broadcast from the scene. Users documented what they heard, with some comparing the experience to a real-life version of the movie Project X.
