It's difficult to make sense of Liverpool's season. On its day, LFC can beat any team in the league, as wins against Chelsea, Arsenal and both Manchester clubs (in cup competitions) have shown.

But the Reds can be maddeningly inconsistent as well, having struggled against the likes of Wigan, Queens Park Rangers, and Bolton.
