Mario Balotelli Unhurt After Vauxhall Corsa Smashes Into His White Bentley

Mario Balotelli makes headlines as soon as he walks out his front door in the morning. On Thursday, the Manchester City star was involved in a car accident in Manchester city center. He was unhurt in the crash, but a female passenger was taken to the hospital as a precaution, according to the Manchester Evening News.

“Shortly after 3:15pm on Thursday April 5, 2012, police were called to Medlock Street, Manchester City Centre to reports of a collision between two cars,” a police spokesperson said. “Inquiries are ongoing.”

Balotelli, the driver of the Bentley, was reportedly “shook up”by the collision with a Vauxhall Corsa. But he declined medical treatment at the scene.

An eyewitness at the scene added a bit more color and flair to the story.

“The driver of the other car was dazed,” the witness told Manchester Evening News. “His car was a mess.

“Mario was on the phone and a short time later a Range Rover turned up with a couple of Italian-looking blokes inside who looked like they knew him.

“Paramedics arrived and looked at the man in the car and the girl in Mario’s and then the police came down and took statements.”

The woman’s identity is unknown, but it may have been Balotelli’s girlfriend Raffaella Fico. The Italian model accompanies him to practice on some days, and even makes cameo appearances on his t-shirts.
