The Miami Marlins have had an interesting start to the 2012 season, and baseball fans will be able to watch the behind-the-scenes action this summer when the new look Florida team heads to Showtime.

The Marlins have been selected to star in the second season of Showtime's The Franchise. A preview trailer has been released, giving viewers a chance to take a look at what's sure to be interesting television.

The trailer shows the process that the Marlins undertook to rebrand their entire ballclub, including new uniforms, a new name, new players and a brand new ballpark.

Most notably, the trailer confirms that Ozzie Guillen's controversial comments regarding Fidel Castro will play a big part in the first episode of the new season.

The preview also shows the Marlins' pursuit of Jose Reyes, various comments from owner Jeffrey Loria and footage from the Marlins' home opener against the St. Louis Cardinals.

After following the San Fransisco Giants' attempted World Series defense last season, the new incarnation of The Franchise aims to take a captivating look at a franchise looking to return to its past glory. And if the numerous bleeped out words from Guillen are any indication, the newest iteration won't be short on crazy moments.

Showtime will release a 30-minute preview episode on Saturday, April 9 at 9 P.M.
