With one simple back-heel flick to himself followed by an easy bicycle-kick finish, Nkosi Burgess became an overnight star.

The teenager from Long Island, N.Y. scored a goal during a youth soccer game on March 24 that was caught on camera. It has been viewed around the world over one million times, gaining him a much notoriety in soccer circles.

Burgess, 15, was playing for the Dix Hills Heat against Hauppauge Brazil when a teammate delivered a free kick into the opposition's penalty area. Instead of heading it or laying off to a teammate, Burgess pulled off two audacious tricks and scored.

The goal has been featured on ESPN and 101 Great Goals among other outlets.

He told Patch.com that the move was one he'd done before (in practice). He also hopes to play in college (University) at the Division I level.

"Yes I've done the move before," Burgess said. "This was the third time successfully accomplishing the move. My friends and I joke around doing it in practice but when it comes to the game you don't really think about it, it's just a reaction.

"I do plan on playing soccer in college. Also I would hope and strive to play Division I soccer."

Scouts at home and abroad are aware of Burgess' skill. Here's hoping he takes the step up to the next level.
