The Los Angeles Lakers and Oklahoma City Thunder are becoming fast rivals in the Western Conference. The intensity with which both teams play culminated in a double overtime showdown on Sunday in which the Lakers came out on top, both on the scoreboard and on the court.

After elbowing the Thunder's James Harden in the head, Metta World Peace (formerly known as Ron Artest) towered over the concussed guard. Harden remained on the floor and was eventually removed from the game. He has yet to be cleared to play.

But Tuesday brought good news: Harden is improving and even worked out a bit to test himself, according to USA Today. Ultimately, the coaching staff decided to rest him, but he said he is feeling positive about his progress. In fact, after getting several concerned tweets from fans, Harden updated his followers on his condition.

Harden is averaging nearly 17 points per game, along with 4.1 rebounds and 3.7 assists. Those numbers have earned him serious consideration for the Sixth Man of the Year award.
