The Celtics were just starting to get close in their opening-round game against the Atlanta Hawks when the wheels came off.

Rajon Rondo, upset over a foul call involving Brandon Bass, exchanged words with a referee, and the official gave Rondo a technical foul.

Rondo then moved closer and bumped into the referee, leading to another technical and the automatic ejection that comes with two such fouls.

Speculation is that Rondo will be suspended for the contact with the official, but Celtics coach Doc Rivers said after the game that he doesn't think a suspension is warranted.
