Ray Allen Does Not Travel With Celtics to TorontoDoc Rivers did not seem overly concerned when he disclosed prior to Wednesday's game that Ray Allen would be sidelined again with his troublesome right ankle. The Celtics coach assumed Allen would be back for Friday's game against the Raptors, but that is now much less likely.

Allen did not travel with the team to Toronto, according to the Celtics. His status is day to day.

"I'm more concerned that this is the second or third time it's happened, so that's concerning," Rivers said Wednesday.

Mickael Pietrus, fresh off a 10-game absence while he recovered from a concussion, took Allen's place as the Celtics' sixth man against the Hawks and had eight points in 29 minutes. Allen is averaging 14.2 points and shooting 45 percent on 3-pointers this season. In four games as a reserve, he is averaging 13.0 points and shooting 40 percent from downtown.
