Ryane Clowe Blatantly Cheats, Gets Away With It and Plays Dumb When Asked About It (Video)Ryane Clowe got away with one on Thursday night in a highly contested matchup between his San Jose Sharks and the Los Angeles Kings.

The veteran forward did everything he could to help his team to a 6-5 win, even when he wasn’t on the ice. Clowe made news when he broke up what looked like a promising L.A. rush in the third period, and he did so from the bench.

Jarret Stoll carried the puck up ice and through the neutral zone with less than three minutes to play in a tie game when Clowe reached over the bench with his stick and tipped the puck off of Stoll’s stick. The play was broken up and would eventually go to overtime and a shootout where the Sharks would come away victorious.

Perhaps the only thing better than Clowe’s illegal stickwork was his response when questioned about the offense following the game.

“I have no idea what you guys are talking about,” Clowe said after the game, according to ESPN.com. “I’ll have to see the video or something; you’ll have to show me on video.”

On the other side of things, Kings coach Darryl Sutter struggled to comprehend what he had seen.

“What do you think my thoughts are?” he said, according to the Los Angeles Times. “You can’t call too many men on the ice. What do you call? Too many sticks?”

Kings defenseman Drew Doughty was a little bit more direct in his assessment of the play.

“I don’t see why he shouldn’t be suspended. I don’t know if that is a suspension or not. But I don’t know why it shouldn’t be.”
