The Patriots' second-round pick flew up from Washington D.C. on Saturday morning and realized he was a little underdressed, so he bought a gray hooded sweatshirt for the occasion. That color hoodie is fitting in itself, but he decided to grab one with "Boston" emblazoned across the chest.
Wilson, a safety, toured Gillette Stadium for the first time, met with Bill Belichick and checked out Patriot Place. He also caught up with second-year cornerback Ras-I Dowling, who offered a little advice.
"It's been crazy, but it's been everything that I could ever want," Wilson said. "I'm with a great organization."
Wilson dropped one of the most eye-opening facts of the weekend, revealing his great-grandmother, Eddye Williams, is 112 years old.
"It's just fun to be around here," Wilson said. "She's a funny woman."
Wilson said she's still able to walk around, and she's in good spirits, though she is starting to lose her eyesight. But he was thrilled to know he could make her proud by landing in the NFL.
