After being suspended indefinitely, director of player safety Brendan Shanahan made his final decision, taking Torres off the ice for 25 games.
It's difficult to say whether Shanahan was trying to make a statement with this suspension, though it could be his attempt at cooling off what has been an especially aggressive first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs.
