A new sensation will soon be sweeping the nation, or at least that’s what Cary Eskridge is hoping for with the creation of the Bikini Hockey League.
Eskridge created the new league as the start of a reality series that will focus on two teams filled with beautiful women playing inline hockey against one another.
The series will go as many others before it, with the women living in a mansion as they compete in tryouts. However, Eskridge is trying to make the Bikini Hockey League an interesting and competitive entity.
For starters, Eskridge is hoping to make it more fascinating than another famous sport with scantily clad women, the Lingerie Football League.
“I don’t like to be compared to that, really,” said Eskridge in an interview with Fox Sports Southwest. “It’s a totally, completely different sport. I don’t want to say anything negative. I just think this will be more compelling and engaging. But time will tell.”
The Lingerie Football League, of course, began as a halftime event during the Super Bowl. While Eskridge doesn’t want to bad-mouth the famed football game, he hopes that the Bikini Hockey League will have a higher level of skill. Eskridge has started to achieve that goal by having several participants who posses backgrounds in hockey.
Needless to say, if the Bikini Hockey League takes off, there will be a lot of interested viewers gravitating toward it in the future. The pilot episode will start filming next month in Tulsa, Okla., Eskridge’s hometown.
