Anyone else when remember when Charlie Sheen was relevant and even bordering on cool? If you don't that's forgivable considering the phenomenon lasted a week or so, but the actor is now back in the news.
It has to do with "Winning" again, but this time, it's far less insufferable.
FOX Sports' Jay Glazer reported on Thursday afternoon that Sheen had won the auction for Hall of Fame linebacker Lawrence Taylor's Super Bowl ring.
"Got no idea if this is true but if is it's hilarious," Glazer tweeted. "Lawrence Taylor & his agent Mark Lepselter were told last night winning bidder for LT's Super Bowl Ring was none other than Charlie Sheen!!!"
The final bid listed on the auctioneer's website reveals that the ring went for $230,401.
However, it's still not confirmed that Sheen was the winner, but Glazer tweeted shortly thereafter that he spoke with Taylor's agent who said that they were informed that Sheen had been the winner, but hadn't yet gotten confirmation from Sheen's people.
Sheen is a big sports memorabilia collector. He already owns a Babe Ruth World Series ring, and he once owned the ball that went through Bill Buckner's legs in the 1986 World Series.

"It's definitely that I'll try to get used to. It's unique, but it's fun. I had a good time out there."

Out of context, this is fantastic.
