Appropriately enough, injured Red Sox outfielder Cody Ross brough his son, Hudson, along to introduce the club's newest promotion. Throughout June the Sox will be "Calling All Kids," to Fenway, inviting youngsters to take part in a number of activites, just in time for the first days of summer vacation.
There are numerous ways the team is asking kids to get involved with baseball, and among those are a kids only press conference on June 10, a kid reporter taking part in the NESN telecast each game, a kid disc jockey during batting practice and kids running out to the diamond with the Red Sox as the team takes the field.
