Daniel Fells Says Broncos Took the Good With the Bad During 'Circus' Surrounding Tim TebowFOXBORO, Mass. — Patriots tight end Daniel Fells reflected Tuesday on the "circus" that took place in Denver over the last two years.

The Broncos were hit with Tebowmania — which, as it turns out, can only be cured with a prescription of Peyton Manning — and Fells enjoyed the highs, though he said the lows were a "distraction."

"It was a circus," Fells said. "Just like any circus, there's good, and there's bad. It was something that you just took in stride."

The good turned out to be a surprising run to the AFC West title and a playoff victory against the Steelers. But what about the bad?

"The media frenzy all day every day," Fells said. "That can be somewhat of a distraction sometimes. But [Tebow] is the type of person who just takes everything in stride, and he's a truly genuine person, so he just kind of almost brushed it off a little bit. He didn't let all of the hype get to his head."

Thing is, there's Denver hype, and then there's New York hype. The circus was wild in the Rocky Mountains, but it's going to be utter madness in the Big Apple.

Then again, everyone already knew that. The question many have is, how good can Tebow actually be as an NFL quarterback? Fells was asked if he thinks Tebow is an NFL quarterback right now.

"I think he can be," Fells said. "Give him a little bit of time."
