Daniel Nava to Lead Off for Red Sox in Memorial Day Matinee Against TigersAnother day, another lineup configuration.

Red Sox manager Bobby Valentine has been forced to move some parts around this season, and he made a major change again on Monday, planting Daniel Nava atop the Boston order.

Nava has played well since his arrival to the big club this season, hitting .286, and more importantly, getting on base at an impressive .448 clip.

Mike Aviles, who has been the team’s primary leadoff hitter in Jacoby Ellsbury‘s absence, heads to the other end of the spectrum, batting ninth against Doug Fister and the Tigers. The shortstop is just 2 for his last 20, and is only batting .236 for the month of May entering Monday’s game.

Adrian Gonzalez will once again see action in right field, as Valentine continues to work him, Kevin Youkilis and Will Middlebrooks into the lineup at the same time.
