Felix Doubront Rides Pair of Wins to Amica Pitcher of the Week HonorsFelix Doubront was unsure in spring training if he'd have a spot in the Red Sox rotation this season. Not only does he have a spot, but he's proving to be one of the club's most reliable starters.

Doubront picked up a pair of wins this week to put his record at 3-1, and he's quickly becoming a legitimate starter in this league.

The left-hander's first win of the week came last Sunday, when the Sox cruised to an 11-5 victory over the Royals. He went 6 1/3 innings in that game, allowing three earned runs on seven hits.

Doubront's second victory came on Saturday, when he stymied the Indians for six innings. He allowed just one run on three hits while striking out five, as Boston picked up a 4-1 victory.

The Red Sox still have a ways to go to climb out of the AL East basement, but it all starts with starting pitching. Doubront showed this week that he's more than willing to do his part, and that's enough to land him Amica Pitcher of the Week honors.
