In the wake of his bombshell revelation that he did crack cocaine all throughout the 1986 Red Sox season, former Red Sox pitcher Dennis “Oil Can” Boyd will visit on NESN and WEEI on Friday morning.

Boyd is scheduled to appear on The Dennis and Callahan Morning Show at 8:30 a.m., discussing his new book “They Call Me Oil Can: Baseball, Drugs, and Life on the Edge.”

Boyd made waves earlier this week when he told ESPN’s Buster Olney that he did drugs “every damn day” of the 1986 season, sometimes even in the bathroom before games.

Current UFC light heavyweight champion Jon “Bones” Jones is also scheduled on the program at 9:30. Bones is also the brother of Patriots first-round draft pick Chandler Jones.

Tune into NESN starting at 6 a.m. to catch all the action with D&C.
