You would think that a guy who was in a huge vat of hot water with the NFL for his role in a bounty program would like to distance himself as far from the situation as possible until it was all settled, right?

Apparently not according to Saints linebacker Jonathan Vilma, who was suspended by the league for an entire season on Wednesday for his role in the ongoing Saints bounty scandal.

On Vilma's Twitter page, he seems more than happy to trumpet his newfound fame. In fact, Vilma's Twitter avatar is a photo of him on the cover of a recent issue of Sports Illustrated with the headline "Bounty Culture."

That seems kind of dumb, or at the very least, out of touch, no? Well, one of Vilma's 69,000 followers pressed him on that topic. His response?

Jon Vilma can do a lot of things now that he's got the year off from football.
