Josh Beckett Can Silence Critics for Now by Helping Red Sox Get on Hot Streak, Get Back Into Race
Josh Beckett is not a popular man right now in Boston.

The Red Sox right-hander made news last week with the most infamous golf outing in recent memory and followed it up a week later with one of the worst starts of his career. After the game, he was defiant and stubborn in his postgame  news conference, leading some to believe that he should be shipped out of Boston.

Beckett will take the hill on Tuesday afternoon, and he's got a chance to at least help quiet some of those critics by righthing the ship. If he can do that, and the Red Sox can get the win, Boston will head out on the road riding a five-game winning streak as they look to escape the AL East cellar.
