Josh Smith will play for the Atlanta Hawks in Game 4 on Sunday night after missing Game 3 with a left knee injury.

The Hawks were already without two of their primary big men in Zaza Pachulia and Al Horford, and the injury to Smith made them particularly shorthanded in the frontcourt. Despite the various injuries, Atlanta managed to hold its own throughout Game 3 in what was eventually a 90-84 overtime loss. Surprisingly, the Hawks outscored the Celtics 52 to 36 in the paint.

Hawks head coach Larry Drew had said Smith was a game-time decision for Sunday's game.

Smith confirmed he will try to play through the pain against the Celtics in Game 4.

Al Horford was also activated before Sunday night's game. It remains a gametime decision whether or not he will actually play in Game 4.
