Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band must really love Fenway Park, Boston and its fans.

Due to high demand for the band’s return to the 100-year-old ballpark on Aug. 14, Live Nation Entertainment has announced that Springsteen and the E Street Band will add a second show, for Aug. 15. The second show is pending city approval.

This is Springsteen’s first performance at Fenway since 2003, when he performed following the release of “The Rising.”

For serious Springsteen fans, the band will also play at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro on Aug. 18.

Tickets for the shows on Aug. 14 at Fenway and Aug. 18 at Gillette Stadium went on sale Saturday morning, but tickets for the second performance at Fenway will not be available until June 2 at 10 a.m.

Tickets can be bought by visiting LiveNation.com, Etix.com, via the Orpheum Theatre Box Office, or by calling 800-514-3849.
