Marlon Byrd Feeling More Confident After Hitting First Home Run With Red Sox (Video)

Marlon Byrd may not have put up the kind of numbers that Cody Ross was able to on Thursday night, but the newest Red Sox outfielder did show off a few of the reasons he can be so valuable to the club this year.

Byrd, who was traded to the Red Sox in the middle of April, hit a home run and played solid defense yet again in Boston’s 5-3 win on Thursday.

The 34-year-old outfielder talked about his performance and the growing success of the team during Red Sox Clubhouse Uncut after the game.

Check out the video above to see more from Byrd.
