Report: Fenway Park Announcer Carl Beane Dies in Sturbridge Car Crash

Fenway Park public address announcer Carl Beane has died in a car crash, reports NECN.

The vehicle belonging to Beane was involved in an accident in Sturbridge, Mass.

The Suzuki SUV, which has Beane’s name on the rear tire cover, was involved in an accident on Holland Drive in Sturbridge at about 12:45 on Wednesday afternoon. According to the report, the car slammed into a stand of trees and stone wall about 25 yards from the road.

Beane was 59 years old. He had served as the public address announcer for the Boston Red Sox since 2003.
