Aaron Cook Getting Back in the Swing of Things, Works on Upping Pitch Count (Video)

With all the excitement and emotion going on with the Kevin Youkilis trade, it's kind of easy to forget that there was actually a baseball game Sunday afternoon. A game that the Red Sox won 9-4, no less.

Well, Aaron Cook probably can't afford to get caught up in all that, as the veteran right-hander is still working his way back in to full form after suffering a laceration in his last start against the Orioles on May 5. But apparently Cook is feeling close to full strength, as he says that all his pitches were working in his effort in capturing a win. The only task now, he says, is getting his pitch count up and generally getting back up to full strength. But with Felix Doubront and Jon Lester as the only sure things in the Red Sox' rotation right now, Cook may be sticking around for a little while.

Watch the video above to hear Cook talk about his start.
