Charlie Manuel Has Asked Siri to Marry Him, Gets Frustrated His iPhone Can't Help Him ManageCharlie Manuel is old-school, so you can excuse him if he doesn't always adopt new technologies. But you may be surprised that he's embraced having an iPhone, even if it has caused its fair share of frustration.

Manuel spoke to reporters about using the Siri feature on his phone (he called her "Sirius") and had a specific set of complaints about the software's limitations.

"Ask Sirius to marry you. She'll say, 'I don't understand that.'" Manuel told reporters. "I talk to her every now and then."

"She don't understand baseball neither," he continued. "I'll say, 'What's wrong with this guy?' And she'll say, 'I don't know what you're talking about.' She doesn't understand."

One reporter pointed out that eventually, the technology might exist for managers to ask a computer what to do in a certain situation on the field.

"I might need that now," Manuel replied. "That'd be all right."

This isn't Manuel's first tangle with technology, but right now, the Phillies could probably use all the help they can get. They're 33-37, good for last place in the National League East.
