Clay Buchholz Plays Mind Games With Opposing Hitters (Video)

They say baseball is a game of adjustments — or, as Clay Buchholz refers to them, "mind games."

After having faced the Miami Marlins his last trip to the mound, and facing down a second-straight start against the Fish, the temptation, Buchholz says, is to perhaps out-think yourself and start worrying and changing the way you prepare, and what your pitch sequences might be. Well, that didn't quite seem to be the righty's issue on Monday night — as his location didn't seem quite as crisp, and curveball just a little bit flatter — but he did stay out long enough to give the Red Sox a chance to eventually come back and take a 7-5 decision over the squad from South Beach.

Watch the video above to hear Buchholz talk about his mind games.
