Daniel Nava Leading Off Again as Red Sox Look to Avenge Walk-Off Loss in Seattle

Daniel Nava Leading Off Again as Red Sox Look to Avenge Walk-Off Loss in SeattleThe Red Sox suffered a crushing defeat at the hands of the Mariners in their West Coast opener on Thursday night. But Daniel Nava will be looking to get Boston back on track early in Seattle on Friday.

Nava will be leading things off for the Sox offense for the 17th time this season, and he's been very effective from the top spot so far. The 29-year-old outfielder has hit .306 with 13 RBIs and .403 OBP in 73 plate appearances out of the No. 1 hole.

Dustin Pedroia and David Ortiz will follow with Jarrod Saltalamacchia getting his second straight start in the cleanup spot and the catcher will likely be looking to make up for his botched play at the plate in the bottom of the ninth of Thursday's loss.

The Sox shouldn't have too much trouble with the Mariners No. 2 starter, as Hector Noesi (2-9, 5.50) is no Felix Hernandez.

Aaron Cook (1-1, 9.39) will get another chance on the bump on Friday, looking to improve upon his last outing — two earned runs over five innings — on Sunday against Atlanta.
