You can build from the ground up, using the NBA draft much like the Oklahoma City Thunder did. Or, a team can spend its money on free agents and bring proven players to their team, much like the Miami Heat did.
While there thankfully won’t be another “decision” like LeBron James had, the upcoming NBA offseason will have plenty of valuable free agents who could be seeking new destinations.
Many teams will fight for superstars like Deron Williams, O.J. Mayo and Eric Gordon, while their current teams hope they will choose to stay for a new contract.
