Yes, too much sports watching can be bad for your health.

A Chinese man has died after staying up 11 straight nights to watch every game of Euro 2012, according to a newspaper report from Hunan province, as reported by USA Today.

Ireland's 2-0 loss to Italy on June 18 was the match that put him over the edge, the Telegraph reports.

The 26-year-old had been staying up through the night to see the games, which started at 2:45 a.m. in his local time, before returning to work the next day. He only ever "rested occasionally," a friend said.

It wasn't just a lack of sleep that did him in. He was also smoking and drinking.

"If you use beer to replace water, that is not good. Alcohol harms [the body]," Dr. Liu Zhilling told the Chinese paper.

As does too much soccer.
