It’s no secret why Space Jam was a huge success. It starred Michael Jordan, who was paired up with characters from The Looney Toons. How could any kid resist seeing that movie?

Well, it seems like Warner Bros. is back at it again. This time, however, the movie will star the Oklahoma City Thunder’s Kevin Durant . In the upcoming movie, Thunderstruck, Durant loses his basketball talent to a young fan, in a strange transfer of energy through a basketball (exactly like in Space Jam).

Without his talent, Durant and the Thunder begin to struggle in their quest to an NBA title. In the meantime, the young fan (similar to the 2002 film Like Mike) uses Durant’s skills to make his school’s basketball team.

Durant will be joining a list of NBA players who have dabbled in acting, including Jordan, Ray Allen and Shaquille O’Neal. Fortunately for Oklahoma City, Durant will have all his basketball skills next week when they begin the NBA Finals.
