New Liverpool Manager Brendan Rodgers 'Can't Wait to Get Started' (Photos)Brendan Rodgers has been chosen as the man to lead Liverpool FC into the future. The 39-year-old was unveiled as LFC’s new manager on Friday, after signing a contract.

Rodgers cemented his reputation as one of the top young managers in the game by guiding Swansea City to an impressive 11th-place finish in its debut Premier League campaign. He now faces a stiffer challenge in helping restore LFC to its place among the elite teams in both England and Europe.

The Northern Irishman will have the support of millions of fans around the world, as he sets out to implement his philosophy on the Reds. Swansea was praised for its aggressive attacking approach, which was the product of Rodgers’ methods.

Rodgers spoke of his excitement at Friday’s news conference. He pledged to give every ounce of energy to this project.

“I’m really excited and I can’t wait to get started on this incredible project going forward,” Rodgers said. “I promise to dedicate my life to fight for this club and defend the great principles of Liverpool Football Club on and off the field.”
