Report: Miami Heat Will Consider Going After Andre Miller in OffseasonWhen the time finally comes for the Miami Heat to head home for the summer, the focus will immediately shift to adding some pieces alongside the Big Three.

One such piece could be veteran point guard Andre Miller.

The Heat will take a look at Miller in the offseason, according to FOX Sports Florida's Chris Tomasson. The problem will reportedly be whether Miller, who is a free agent, will want to take a significant pay cut in order to play for a winner.

That pay cut could entail going from a $7.8 million salary to a $3 million salary, according to Tomasson. If the 36-year-old elects to go down that route, though, it would give Miami a leader in its backcourt alongside Dwyane Wade.

Miami's current point guard, Mario Chalmers, has shown an ability to knock down big shots in the past, but if the Heat can't get past the Celtics, it'll likely be back to the drawing board. And with the heart that Boston's older players have shown in the Eastern Conference Finals, the Heat might take a long look at some battle-tested veterans.
