Fenway Park usually boasts seats full of fans watching the Red Sox play on smooth green grass, but in November, the oldest ballpark in the MLB will be transformed into an obstacle course, as Spartan Race takes over the Lyric Little Bandbox.

The one-mile challenge will be held at Fenway Park on Nov. 17, 2012. Heats for the timed trial will begin at 7 a.m. and will continue to go off approximately every five minutes.

For younger competitors, there will also be a children’s race for kids, ages 4-13. The children’s race will be a tamer version of the adult race and will be broken down by age.

Registration for the event closes on Nov. 9 2012. For those interested in watching the event, tickets are $40 and can be bought on the site. Click here to get more information or to register.
