Just one day after the lowest-rated Stanley Cup Final since 2007, the NBA Finals kicked off with the highest-rated Finals Game 1 since 2002, according to SportsBusiness Daily.
There's no secret that the NHL still trails the other major sports when it comes to TV ratings, and it's clear that a Cup Final featuring two teams that don't have much reach across North America didn't help much, either.
