Alex Morgan was so excited about going to the “Theater of Dreams,” she decided to dress the part.
The U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team plays its final Olympic pool-play game at Old Trafford on Tuesday, and Morgan marked her first visit to the historic stadium by buying a Manchester United jersey.
Just after arriving in Manchester, the star striker picked up United’s new home jersey ahead of her team’s walk-through. She captured the moment with a photo and shared it with the world on Twitter.
The U.S. women took a tour of the stadium and even went inside United’s locker room.
Morgan won’t be able to wear the jersey in Tuesday’s game against North Korea. But if she goes on a picnic before leaving the city, the United jersey wouldn’t look out of place on the table.
