Did This Weekend's Series Make You Feel Better About the Red Sox?The Red Sox won two in a row at Yankee Stadium over the weekend, and all of a sudden they may have a bit of a spark.

The trade deadline is hours away now, but after taking two out of three from New York, the Sox could be about to get on a little bit of a roll as the team gains momentum from two late-inning victories. Then again, you can never be too sure with the way this team has struggled with inconsistency.

On Saturday night, the Red Sox rallied in the ninth inning to beat the Yankees on a Pedro Ciriaco triple that Curtis Granderson misplayed. Suddenly, what could have been a crushing loss turned into a hard-fought victory for the good guys. Then, on Sunday, Ciriaco came through again, with a 10th-inning bloop to give the Sox a win after again squandering a late lead.

Two games do not a season make, but one can make the argument that the way the team was able to battle back from the brink of defeat speaks volumes about its attitude. Instead of packing it in, the Sox continued to fight, and rallied to claim two out of three — on the road — from one of the best teams in baseball.

They've got a long way to go before really turning things around, but this weekend was a start. Compared to where they were on Thursday night, the Sox just might be turning things around.
