Former Red Sox Outfielders Win Day While ‘California Sweeping’ Series Ends Without Fireworks (Video)

The Red Sox must be looking forward to getting back to Fenway.

After a rough series against Seattle, the Sox were swept by the A's on Wednesday thanks in large part to some contributions by former Red Sox outfielders Coco Crisp and Brandon Moss. It was a busy day for former Sox outfielders in general, with Darnell McDonald claimed by the Yankees as well.

NESN Nation's Dan Duquette is trying to focus on David Ortiz's 400th career home run as a bright spot in this one, but the bigger silver lining might be that the Sox are now on their way home. Even if it is to face the Yankees.
