Jaromir Jagr only spent one season in Philadelphia upon returning to the NHL after a stint in Russia’s KHL, but apparently he formed plenty of close bonds with his Flyers teammates.

So when Jagr signed a one-year deal with the Dallas Stars on Tuesday, the 40-year-old obviously wanted to give his friends a proper send-off. In order to do so, he took to Twitter, offering up the following tweets.

For a quick rundown, Jagr not only thanked the Flyers fans while saying “hallo” to his new teammates and fans, but he had special messages for a select few of his now former teammates.

Jagr clearly thinks highly of Claude Giroux, telling him he can become the best player in the NHL, as well as Max Talbot, calling him the most underrated and underpaid player in the league.

Jagr might be 40, but he posted a respectable 19-35-54 line in his first season back in the U.S., while also providing plenty of veteran leadership. The Stars have been aggressive this offseason, so why not bring Jagr in to see if he can turn back the clock even more in 2012-13?
