Jason Kidd Arrested on Drunken Driving Charge in New York Shortly After Being Signed as New Knicks Point GuardIt seems like Jason Kidd didn’t take the news that the Knicks signed Raymond Felton very well.

Kidd was arraigned on a misdemeanor driving while intoxicated charge in the Hamptons early Sunday morning after crashing his 2010 Cadillac Escalade into a telephone pole, according to the Southampton Patch.

Officers responded to the crash at 1:56 a.m., police said. Kidd had no passengers in his SUV, and no other vehicles were involved.

The crash occurred near Kidd’s house in Walter Mill, which he purchased last year for a reported $5.97 million. He signed a three-year, $9.5 million contract with the Knicks on Thursday.
