Red Sox Must Keep Day-to-Day Approach, Focus on Short Term May Be Pivotal in Second HalfThe Red Sox have their work cut out for them, but they can't fall victim to keeping a close tabs on the standings.

Simply put, the Sox are at the point of the season where they just have to worry about winning every inning, every game and every series. It's still way too unclear to know how many wins will get them into the playoffs, so Boston may be best-suited to sharpen their focus and trust that if they do enough things right, they'll be playing baseball again in October.
