Brent Lillibridge was mostly collateral damage when the Kevin Youkilis trade went down. Now, Lillibridge may have found a more permanent home.

The Red Sox have traded Lillibridge to the Cleveland Indians for minor league right-handed pitcher Jose De La Torre, according to the Red Sox.

Never a big part of the Red Sox' future after he came to Boston in the Youkilis swap on June 24, most people knew the former White Sox outfielder's time at Fenway Park would be short. He was even designated for assignment on July 17, the same day his former teammates came to town, as the Red Sox needed a roster spot for Carl Crawford as he returned from the disabled list.

Lillibridge was 2-for-16 in 10 games for the Red Sox. De La Torre will report to Pawtucket, Ken Rosenthal reports.
